My career has been shaped by senior leadership responsibilities in public service, with accountability for complex, high-consequence decisions involving public missions, organizations, and people.
Over three decades, including more than twenty years in the Pacific Northwest, my public service work focused on leading within complex, multi-jurisdictional systems at the intersection of policy and implementation. I held executive responsibility for organizational performance, teams, and consequential work in the areas of water, infrastructure, environmental protection, public health, and emergency response.
In those roles, I was accountable for decisions that required integration of technical considerations, regulatory obligations, organizational capacity, intergovernmental relations, and public trust. Those decisions affected communities and institutions.
Today, I apply that experience and perspective in an independent advisory role, working with public-sector leaders and mission-driven executives on complex situations characterized by competing drivers, trade-offs, and uncertainty.
